Leica DISTO D2 Laser Distance Measure with Bluetooth 4.0 - Black/Red

The Leica DISTO D2 is a laser distance meter with 7 measurement modes. It is a fully-featured LDM that is designed for various purposes and is easy to operate. It improves upon the D1 with additional functions, higher accuracy (± 1.5 mm / 1/16"), and a range of up to 100m (330'). The D2 offers great value with its excellent features and functionality. It includes multiple modes of measurement such as distance, min/max, permanent, stake-out, add/subtract, area, and volume. The D2 also comes with painter and Pythagoras functions.

The intelligent endpiece of the D2 allows for accurate measurements from outside or inside corners, including diagonal measurements. It calculates both area and volume and stores the last 10 measurements taken. The back-lit LCD screen makes it easy to read the measurements while working. The D2 can measure from its base by default, but it can also be configured to measure from the front. The intelligent endpiece can be flipped out to 90º in order to hook onto outside corners or fully extended for inside corners, automatically measuring from the endpiece when extended.

Despite weighing only 3 ounces (100g), the D2 is small, simple, and powerful. It is compact and fits easily in a toolbox or pocket. The interface is user-friendly and the circuitry is powerful, housed in a casing with an IP 54 rating for protection against dust and water splashes. The D2 is great for casual home use, but its accuracy is reliable due to the direct connection of the intelligent endpiece to the circuit board.

The D2 also includes a flip-out endpiece for measuring from edges or corners, Pythagorean functions for indirect width and height measurements in hard-to-reach positions, and Leica Disto Sketch for measuring areas and volumes.
